Meet The Midwife
Kimberly Windels, CNM
For more than 40 years, I have dedicated my career to caring for women and their families. As a Certified Nurse Midwife serving Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming, I believe every family deserves compassionate, individualized care built on trust, respect, and open communication.
I believe pregnancy and childbirth are transformative experiences, not simply medical events. By spending time getting to know each family through longer, relationship-based appointments, I provide personalized care that supports informed decisions and honors each family's unique values and goals. Birth is a year out of women's lives, health and wellness is a life long journey that we can continue to go through together, encouraging preventative methods and integrative care.
I became a midwife to change the world, by helping families, babies, parents, and the community. I’ve been in this field of Women’s Health for a long time, it’s been an amazing journey. It’s one of the five loves of my life.

My Approach to Care
I believe the best care begins with listening. Every family comes with their own experiences, values, and hopes for pregnancy and birth, and my role is to provide the information, guidance, and support needed to help you make decisions with confidence.
Shared Decision-Making
Your care should never feel one-sided. I believe in partnering with my clients by providing clear, balanced information about available options, answering questions honestly, and respecting the decisions that are right for your family.
Evidence-Informed Care
Midwifery combines the art of compassionate care with the science of modern medicine. My recommendations are guided by current evidence, clinical experience, and your individual circumstances. I strive to balance safety with respect for the normal physiology of pregnancy and birth, ensuring that every recommendation is made with your well-being and your baby's health in mind.
Empowering Families
Pregnancy and birth are transformative experiences. I believe education is one of the most powerful tools for building confidence. By taking time to answer questions, explain options, and prepare families for each stage of their journey, I hope every client feels informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care.
Respecting Individual Choices
No two families are alike. I recognize that every client brings unique beliefs, goals, and preferences to their care. Whether you're planning an at home delivery, all natural childbirth, exploring your birth options, or seeking women's wellness care, I am committed to providing respectful, nonjudgmental support while honoring your individual choices and providing guidance every step of the way.
